Making & Meeting Goals

At Financial Wellness for All, we work together to identify what matters most to you and create realistic, achievable goals that align with your values, priorities, and current financial situation. Rather than focusing on perfection, we focus on progress—breaking larger goals into manageable steps that fit your life.

Our goal-setting process includes:

  • Clarifying short-term and long-term financial priorities
  • Identifying obstacles that may be preventing progress
  • Creating realistic action plans and timelines
  • Developing strategies to stay motivated and accountable
  • Adjusting goals as life circumstances change
  • Celebrating successes along the way

Whether you're starting from scratch or revisiting goals you've struggled to achieve in the past, you'll receive support, guidance, and practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.

Every financial journey begins with a single step. Together, we can create a plan that helps you reach your goals and build the future you envision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Financial counseling is a collaborative process that helps individuals and families improve their financial well-being. Together, we'll review your current situation, identify goals, address challenges, and create practical strategies to help you move forward with confidence.

Financial counseling focuses on helping people improve their day-to-day financial lives. This may include creating a spending plan, managing debt, improving credit, navigating financial challenges, reducing financial stress, and building healthy money habits. Financial counselors work with individuals and families at all income levels and stages of life.

Financial planning typically focuses on investments, retirement planning, wealth accumulation, estate planning, and other long-term financial strategies. While both professions help people achieve their financial goals, financial counseling often begins with building a strong financial foundation before addressing more advanced planning needs.

 Common topics include:

  • Budgeting and cash flow management
  • Debt repayment strategies
  • Credit improvement
  • Financial recovery after a setback
  • Financial stress and overwhelm
  • Goal setting and accountability
  • Financial communication for couples and families

  • Building savings and emergency funds

Yes. Creating a safe and supportive environment is a priority. Information shared during our sessions is kept confidential and treated with respect. While financial counselors are not subject to the same legal confidentiality requirements as licensed mental health professionals or attorneys, I follow professional ethical standards and will not share your personal information without your permission, except as required by law.

No. Financial counseling focuses on education, financial behavior, budgeting, debt management, and financial wellness. I do not provide investment, legal, tax, or insurance advice.

Yes. Clients typically receive a follow-up summary with recommended action steps, resources, and tools tailored to their situation.

Every situation is different. Some clients achieve their goals in one or two sessions, while others prefer ongoing support and accountability over several months. We will work together to determine what best meets your needs.
